Your First Visit
At Kamloops Endodontics, we strive to provide exceptional care in a comfortable environment. Your initial appointment with Dr. Ross McLean or our Associate will typically involve a consultation to discuss your diagnosis and treatment options. In emergency cases, treatment may be performed on the same day if time allows.
To ensure a smooth and efficient visit, please bring the following:
- A comprehensive list of your current medications
- Completed insurance forms, if you have dental coverage
All endodontic procedures at our practice are performed using a dental dam, which is the standard of care for root canal therapy. If you have any concerns about this, please inform us when scheduling your appointment.
Important: Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the consultation.
Medical Considerations: Please notify our office if you have any medical conditions that may require special attention, such as diabetes, hypertension, artificial heart valves or joints, or if you're taking medications like blood thinners. Additionally, inform us if you require antibiotics before dental procedures.
Scheduling: We make every effort to schedule your appointment promptly, especially in cases of pain or emergencies. While we strive to stay on schedule, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally cause delays. Generally rootcanal treatment is fairly predictable but occasionally it will take longer than expected. We will not rush your treatment to facilitate someone else’s schedule, nor will we rush someone else's treatment to facilitate your schedule. We appreciate your understanding and patience if a delay arises.
